The force law:F = qv×B + qE,
with just a magnetic field: F = qv×B ,
with just an electric field: F = qE.
For all our explorations, the fields are uniform.
Think About it:

• What will trajectories look like if there is just a Magnetic field?
• If there is just a magnetic field, how can you figure out the direction of the magnetic field from the trajectories of changed particles?
• What will trajectories look like if there is just an Electric field?
• advanced: What happens in a combined Electric and Magnetic field?

AFTER you can comfortably answer the questions above, explore the training rooms and get to know the behaviour of the charge trajectories if.
To move around in the virtual space:

• On a Computer: click on the screen within the virtual window and the screen will pan around with your mouse movements. Use the wasd keys to move around.
• On a mobile device: be sure to allow the web page access to your sensors. Look around by holding up your device and looking "through" it; when you turn in the real world, your view will turn with you. Touch the screen with a single finger and you will move forward and touch the screen with two fingers and you will back up.
• On a phone based VR headset: After going to the page, allowing the page to access phone sensors and touching the VR button on the screen to enter "glasses mode", put the phone in the headset and put it on. THere will be a button on the head set that activates forward motion.
• VR headsets with hand controls: use the web browser for your headset to connect to the page, and click on the VR button. Look around by moving your head, and move forward/backward/sideways by using the control disk on the hand controller.

The training rooms:

• Electric Field directed south
• Magnetic Field directed south
• Electric and Magnetic Fields directed south
• Magnetic Field directed up and Electric Field directed south

In the random room:

• Random Electric Field
• Random Magnetic Field
• Random Electric and Random Magnetic Field

Your job is to determine (and be ready to justify your claims) the directions of any fields that are present. The directions will always be in one of the cardinal directions: up, down, north, south, east, or west
You will confirm your observations by moving to the red circle on the floor and then turning to face the center of the room (don't peek beforehand!).
